MITCHELL FAMILY
Peggy Mitchell is the head of the family, her deceased husband Eric was a top boxer in his day and they had 3 children together, Sam, Grant and Phil. Sam recentley escaped to Brazil after being arrested for conspircey and aiding and abeting a murder. Grant and Phil currently live in the square with children Ben, and Courtney, as well as cousien Billy. Phil also has a daughter Louise who lives in Portugal with Lisa Shaw, Phil's ex-lover, while Grant has a son Mark, who lives in the US with Michelle, Grant does not know of his existance.
SLATER FAMILY
The Slaters arrived in September 2000, and were the biggest family to arrive in a soap at the same time. They caused a massive stir but many of the characters have now left, currentley in the Square are Stacey, Big Mo, Charlie, Little Mo and Freddie. Little Mo leaves in May 2006, altough additional family members Sean and Jean will arrive in the summer.
FOWLER FAMILY
The fowlers are a permenant fixture in Albert Square, since day one. The remaining characters of the family are battleaxe Pauline, now married to second husband Joe after Aurther Fowler died back in 1996, Aurther and Paulines youngest child Martin, Michelle now lives in the US and Mark is deceased, and Rebbeca, Martins child from his marriage to ex-wife-turned Lesbian Sonia.
BRANNING FAMILY
When gobby Carol Jackson and her 4 kids by different men arrived in Albert Square in the 90's, no one knew that over 10 years later, Sonia, they little trumpet player, would be a teenage mum turned lesbian nurse!, she has family in the Square still thanks to Dot (nee Cotton) who married her Grandad Jim and she has cousien Bradley as well as an uncle on the way.
BEALE FAMILY
Three-times married Ian Beale is one of the only remaining original cast member, he is currently living with partner Jane, and children Bobby, Lucy and Peter. Ian was infamously shot in 1996 thanks to evil ex Cindy, he married Melanie Healey on Mellenium Eve after tricking her that Lucy had cancer, Mel discovered hours after and sensationally left him on the stroke of midnight. His most recent wife Laura, the mother of Bobby, fell down the stairs to her death in 2004.
WICKS FAMILY
Pat is the most married person in the Square having married FOUR times. She is currently living with Kevin Wicks, Deano Wicks and Carley Wicks - her neice and nephew and there father. Pat recentley had affairs with ex-husband Frank Butcher and married shop-keeper Patrick Trueman. Pats other husbands include deceased Roy Evans.
